Ethan and I met in April of 2022. I was finishing up my music education degree at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and I got a teaching opportunity at Buckhannon -Upshur High School. Ethan was teaching there as well and finishing up his master's degree. We worked on totally different ends of the school, so we would have never crossed paths on a regular day. By chance, we both got stuck supervising some students on SAT testing day. We saw each other across the room and ended up chatting for a long time.

The next day, I of course stalked him on Facebook and friended him. After the weekend when we got back to school, we started finding ways to run into each other which was no easy task considering we worked on different floors.

Eventually, he got brave enough to ask me out. I gave the answer you would expect... "No, let's just be friends." Ethan, being the gentleman he is, went out with me anyway as a friend. After a couple "not- dates," I decided I was crazy and told him I wanted to be together. Within a couple weeks, I knew I was going to marry him.

And the rest is history as they say...
